Signature cuts and blow-drys

Every cut at alegra is designed to measure: face shape, hair type and each client's lifestyle. We don't work from a closed catalog of cuts — every signature cut grows out of that initial conversation. The same goes for the blow-dry: a signature blow-dry isn't just a final style, it's part of the same creative process as the cut.

Color specialists

Color is one of alegra's specialties, with a team of expert colorists. We work with traditional color and also natural clay-based coloring, currently with Secretos del Agua, as an alternative for those who want it. Every color is designed around each client's hair and skin, never as a standard formula. Mariona is Dulceida's trusted hairdresser: this year all her look changes were done with L'Oréal Professionnel, chosen because it was the best fit for that project, not because of a commercial agreement.

Brands and products

At alegra we don't work exclusively with any one color or hair care brand. For each service we choose the brand that gives the best result for that particular hair, never because of discounts or commercial agreements with a supplier. We work mainly with Schwarzkopf Professional and L'Oréal Professionnel for color and hair care, alongside Authentic Beauty Concept and Shu Uemura, and we are the exclusive distributor in Spain for La Bonne Brosse brushes.

About Mariona Ferran

Mariona Ferran is the founder of alegra, the daughter of Rosa Comellas (New Look Barcelona). alegra is an official collaborating salon of the Premis Gaudí (Catalan Film Academy) and has taken part in Ecléctica. Mariona's and alegra's work has appeared in publications such as ¡Hola!, Clara.es and La Vanguardia.

The space

340m² at Calaf 24-26, Sant Gervasi - Galvany, Barcelona's upper area, very close to Turó Park. La Vanguardia Magazine described it as a place that feels "more like a Milanese apartment than a hair salon." A space designed for peace and harmony, not for spectacle: here, luxury means discretion, close attention and time well spent.

At alegra we don't chase being the loudest or the biggest. We prefer the elegance of discretion: less is more. We take care of every detail so that whoever comes to alegra can truly unwind, with a unique experience and a level of care you notice on every visit.
